Project Description:

Six rows of permanent tieback anchors were used to stabilize a landslide at Pepperdine University.  Schnabel Foundation Company installed a total of 817 anchors, which varied between 100 and 125 feet in length.  The 11-strand anchors with a design load of 347 kips were tested to a maximum load of 520 kips.  The anchor force was distributed to the ground using a 9-foot high steel reinforced shotcrete wall.
