Background

Schnabel was contracted to design and construct a shoring system essential for building an underground parking garage. The sandy soil conditions created a need for enhanced ground stability during excavation.

Schnabel’s Solution

Schnabel implemented a system that incorporated soil mixing between soldier beams, which effectively improved ground stability and prevented cave-ins throughout the excavation process.
