Background

As part of the 760 Ralph McGill Blvd mixed-use development project, the client contracted Schnabel to support the construction of a deep underground parking garage with capacity for 1,250 vehicles.

Schnabel’s Solution

Schnabel installed more than 100,000 square feet of permanent soil nail, rock bolt, and tieback shoring systems, along with over 72,000 square feet of permanent shotcrete foundation walls, creating both excavation support and structural building elements.

Results

The permanent shoring and shotcrete systems facilitated the safe construction of the large underground garage and provided long-term foundation stability for the mixed-use development.
